We are delighted that you are considering Auckland College Independent School for your child.

Choosing the right school is probably one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and whilst we hope the information we provide on this website will give you a feel for our school we believe that you will gain so much more from visiting us and seeing how happy and fulfilled our pupils are.

We welcome pupils from across the Merseyside area, many of whom take advantage of our transport service, and as a small, family oriented school we have strong and positive relationships with our parents so that you are involved in your child’s educational experiences.

Our school accepts boys and girls from aged 3 years old to 16 years old on a non-selective basis. The most important criteria for admission is whether or not a child will flourish and reach their potential as part of our school community.

The main point of entry is from 3-4 years of age into our Pre-Prep School, however we admit pupils into any year group that has available space.

There is no formal quota for admissions as each year we adjust our provision accordingly. However as none of our classes accept more than 18 pupils we do recommend early registration for a place. As a general guide pupils are normally registered for a place at least 12 months in advance, although we do operate a waiting list policy in case of changes to personal circumstances.

For those pupils who do not choose to continue on to our secondary school, we provide guidance and support for admission processes to selective secondary schools, and non-selective secondary schools in the area. We have a high rate of successful entrants from our Year 6 pupils to selective secondary schools.
