Wow…what an amazing opportunity these students (and the accompanying parents & staff) had yesterday, courtesy of Otis and Black British Golfers at Royal Liverpool for The Open. The experience was unreal, including securing fantastic seats in the stand at the 18th hole to watch the final plays and watching the excitement in the boys racing to try and catch any balls being thrown up to the crowd by the golfers at their end of play…lucky Ben even managed to catch one of the golf balls thrown!
The end and peak of our long day was visiting the Adidas house, which backs on to the course, and managing to get several of the golfers to stop and give autographs, as well as leaving with some very kind gifts. We can’t wait to see the love, interest and skill in golf grow in these students, and hopefully many more across the school, now we have a firm link with Black British Golfers.
