At Auckland we use projects effectively to help the children learn in a new way and immerse themselves in their topics. This term, year 6 have been learning about life in Victorian times through the book Street Child by Berlie Doherty. As part of their topics the children recreated the classroom the main character spends time in, and the effort and end results were amazing.
